Passiflora amethystina 'Minas Gerais' 4" pot

Recently discovered form of P. amethystina that is dark purplish deepening almost to an intense, almost smoldering dark reddish purple towards the center. This variety comes true from seed. The vine is pretty vigorous, so does well in an area with lots of space.

Subgenus: Passiflora, Supersection: Stipulata, Section: Granadillastrum.

Light: Full sun, part shade.  There will be less flowers in part shade.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 10.
