Passiflora gabrielliana 4" pot


Gabrielle Passion Flower.  Stunning, fragrant flowers with thick, heavily banded filaments hang in bunches in the spring. Produces excellent, golden yellow fruit with pollination. Warm growing. 

Subgenus: Passiflora, Supersection: Laurifolia.  Native to French Guiana.

 

Light: Full sun.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 11

Slow grower

Still haven't seen this one bloom. It grows slowly then dies back. Two years out, it is still hanging in there, but maybe 3 ft long in two directions. I live in sunset zone 24, coastal climate. Neither warm nor cold.
