Love-In-A-Mist. Lavender and white flowers are surrounded by fantastically lacy, branched bracts. Very furry, sticky vine. Self-pollinates to produce loads of beautiful, bright red fruits. Interestingly, it has been suggested that Passiflora foetida is semi-carnivorous. Numerous small insects become ensnared by the sticky nectar secreted by the lacy bracts and digestive enzymes have been detected in the nectar!

Light: Full sun, part shade. There will be less flowers in part shade.
Water: On the dry side.
Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained. Tolerates moderately salty and alkaline conditions.
Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.
Hardiness: Zone 11.
