Passiflora gustaviana (sister species to P. popenovii) 4" pot

Size

To my knowledge, this extremely rare and choice fruit has never been offered for sale in the United States.  It is closely related to P. popenovii which is beloved by passionfruit enthusiasts. I'm very excited to offer it to my fellow passiflora fanatics.

Endemic to Colombia, it has been a very easy grower for me.  I haven't gotten flowers yet, but they are reputed to be showy and fragrant with heavy white petals and thick banded filaments.

Subgenus: Passiflora, Supersection: Laurifolia, Section: Laurifoliae.

Light: Full sun, part shade.  There will be less flowers in part shade.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 11.
