Supersection Tacsonia

Passiflora insignis 4" pot

Size

**RARE**Very large (7 inch!), hot pink flowers with bristly, dark purple filaments. One of the most beautiful Tacsonias and that's saying a lot! It attracts hummingbirds. The large vine is covered in textured, dark green leaves that contrast wonderfully with the bright pink flowers.  I have been lusting after this plant for years and I finally have it!

**Like most Tacsonias, it does not tolerate excessive heat.

Subgenus: Passiflora, Supersection: Tacsonia

Limit one plant per customer. Sorry!

Light: Full sun, part shade.  There will be less flowers in part shade.  It would be good to give it afternoon shade in warmer climates.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 9.
