Very fragrant, blue/violet/lavender flowers with long, wavy corona filaments. The flowers are 3-5" wide and, if pollinated by another passion flower, are followed by round, edible fruits that have very good flavor. Beautiful palmate leaves. This is a large vine that likes heat and has proved to be a very valuable species for creating hybrids. It is a parent of many fragrant Passiflora hybrids including P. 'Blue Velvet', P. 'Temptation', and P. 'Vivacemente.'
This is an extremely variable species, so this listing will be one of two similar clones grown from seed from Bahia, Brazil. I've included pictures of both clones. I also have a much lighter clone that I'm selling as a separate item.
