Passiflora 'Manta' 4" pot

Manta Passion Flower.  The flowers look like a bizarre insect with black filaments tipped in yellow. An easy-to grow hybrid from a very unusual, difficult parent: Passiflora xiidzodz.  The leathery, variegated batwing leaves further complement this interesting hybrid from Italy.  This is a very nice container plant indoors in a bright window or hanging from a basket.  It is not overly vigorous, so stays well-behaved.

(Passiflora xiikzodz x P. coriacea)  Maurizio Vecchia's hybrid.

Light: Full sun, part shade.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 11.
