Passiflora 'Miri' 4" pot

Miri Passion Flower.  Lovely, free-flowering new hybrid with pink/lavander flowers and a dark, furry center.  I am really excited to offer this new hybrid.  Not only does it have an absolutely beautiful flower, but it has be really easy to grow and bloom.  I've had a chance to grow it for a couple of years and it has been extremely tolerant of neglect and extreme weather.  Last summer we had record-breaking heat in triple digits.  While Miri didn't enjoy it, it didn't seem to set it back much.  Though it hasn't been tested in an area with high heat over long periods of time, it looks very promising.  It also survived temperatures this winter below 20 degrees F!  It lost a good portion of the vine, but about six inches of green stem are left that is starting to sprout.

Light: Full sun, part shade.  In warmer climates, afternoon shade is recommended.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

Hardiness: Zone 9.

Gorgoeus blooms, hardy Vine

I planted this vine on a sunny spot in a large container on my balcony last October - it just opened its first bloom for me today ! It really sprung into growth once the warm weather kicked in. (It was probably about a foot tall when I got it and now is taller than me at around 8.5 feet !) I live in Southern California and hoping to have it cover a significant portion of the wall it’s planted against. Very happy with this hybrid so far - vigorous once established and the blooms look exactly like the pictures.

It is prettier than I anticipated

I got this p. miri as a part of the passiflora kit. I was not anticipating purchasing this one, but was curious about it once I received it. I was even more surprised when I started having its first bud. I purchased it last year (2021) during the fall sale. And today the first bloom has opened up. It is a really pretty combination of colors and the first pic. on this website is the most true to its colors. The flower is maybe a medium size as passiflora flowers go, but the combination of colors is striking and simply beautiful. I am glad it was included in the passiflora kit. )Thank you:-) So far, it does not seem to be very fussy, but this is only my first season with it. I am in zone 9 (a or b???).
