Passiflora capsularis 4" pot

Interesting leaves are shaped like a duck's foot and waxy, star-shaped white flowers. Closely related to P. citrina and P. sanguineolenta. It does really well in containers and hanging baskets and would make a lovely houseplant. With another passion vine to pollinate it, Passiflora capsularis will produce pinkish-red, torpedo shaped fruits that are quite attractive.

Subgenus: Decaloba, Supersection: Decaloba, Section: Xerogona.

Light: Full sun, part shade.  There will be less flowers in part shade.

Water: Moderate.

Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.

Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.

 Hardiness: Zone 11.
