This very interesting plant is pollinated by bats. The 3" flowers open at night on long chains. It's easy to see from the photo how the bat could get pollen all over its forehead while drinking the copious nectar.
The vine is vigorous with attractive, leathery leaves and can climb straight up a wall by using suction cups on the tendrils. Smaller plants will look very nice in a hanging basket or terrarium.
This species has only recently been put in the genus Passiflora and formerly was in its own genus Tetrastylis. Notice the presence of 4 stigmas. Very strange!

Light: Full sun, part shade. There will be less flowers in part shade.
Water: Moderate.
Soil: A wide range of soil, but it must be well-drained.
Fertilizer: A slow-release, bloom-booster type fertilizer is appreciated, but beware of using a fertilizer with too much nitrogen as it may push leaves at the expense of flowers.
